CFD Trading
on FRA40

What is the FRA40?

CFDs, or Contracts for Difference, are derivatives that allow traders to easily gain long or short exposure to the price movements in various asset classes including forex, stocks, commodities, and in this case stock indexes.

The FRA40 index tracks the French Cac40. Also known as the Cac Quarante, or simply the Cac. This is the largest stock index in Paris. It includes the 40 largest companies in France, weighted by market value. The FRA40 index includes well-known companies like Airbus, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, L’Oréal, Pernod Ricard, Renault and Total.

Whether you want to invest in France’s economy for the long term or trade the market as it rises and falls in the short term, CFDs on the CAC40 index are one of the easiest ways to do so.

FRA40 Historical data

The FRA40 index has been more volatile than many other indexes since 2008. In 2011 it fell back to its 2008 lows as concerns around Europe’s economy mounted.

It was also negatively affected by the Brexit referendum as the UK is a major trading partner for France. Nevertheless, it has risen 120% in the last decade.
