Eligibility criteria
Eligibility is subject to assessment and applicable regulations. To apply for Eightcap Pro as a wholesale client, you’ll need to meet one of the following tests.
Experience test
Applicants must complete the Sophisticated Investor Acknowledgement Form and the Knowledge and Experience Form, pass an online knowledge assessment, and demonstrate relevant trading or industry experience through one of the following:
- Leveraged FX or CFD trading over a two-year period with a notional value of AU $2 million or more.
- At least 30 trades of AUD $50,000+ per quarter** over a minimum of four quarters within a two-year period.
- At least one year of professional experience in a role involving margin FX or CFD trading within the financial sector.
Wealth test
Hold net assets of AUD $2.5 million or a gross income over AUD $250,000 for the previous two financial years, certified by an accountant.

Important information
Trading protections and product obligations
Wholesale clients are not covered by certain ASIC retail protections. This includes leverage caps, margin close-out protection and negative balance protection. Wholesale clients are also not covered by Product Intervention Order (PIO) protections, Design and Distribution Obligations or ASIC-mandated complaint-handling processes.
Disclosure, complaints and compensation
Wholesale clients may not be eligible for AFCA dispute resolution, compensation schemes of last resort or retail client disclosure documents such as the PDS or FSG. Except for sophisticated investors, wholesale clients are also not covered by the derivative retail client money rules and conflicted-remuneration bans may not apply.
